History
First registered 21st April 1982, supplied by Ritchies of Glasgow (Lotus agent)
The Car was then sold and bought by Graham Lowe sometime during 1986. Graham used the car for approximately 6 months and then put it off the road as the exhaust manifold was cracked and the engine would require to be removed to change it. He did not change the registration documents over to his name when he bought the car but in 1993 he registered the car in his wifeôs name. I donôt know why this was done unless it was because he owned his own business.
Second change of owner (declared) Wilma Lowe (his wife) 3rd November 1993.
The car was stored from the end of 1986 (I have all the tax discôs from 82 to 86). The car was then sold to Ian Kerr (Club Lotus member) on the 24th January 1998 when the car underwent its restoration. I then purchased the car from Ian on the 10 February 2001. During the time Ian had the car the following was done:
Engine
Rebuilt completely by Agra Engineering in Dundee. When the engine was ready to be fitted back into the car the cylinder head was removed and the valves reground to ensure that there would not be a problem as the engine hadnôt run since it had been on the dyno in 1987. All was ok.
Other
engine parts replaced :
Stainless exhaust.
Oil cooler complete with new hoses.
Head gasket and cam gaskets.
All fuel lines replaced.
Dellorto banjo washers.
Dellorto jet covers.
Luminition plug.
Luminition optic eye and receiver.
Dellorto mixture screws (4 off).
Dellorto pump springs (2 off).
Dellorto choke linkage replaced.
Fuel filter replaced.
Exhaust manifold replaced.
Manifold studs, nuts and gaskets replaced.
Fan belt.
Exhaust retainers replaced.
Exhaust support channel replaced.
Plugs and HT leads replaced.
Cooling
Radiator replaced.
All hoses replaced.
Front aluminium pipes replaced.
Summer stat fitted to engine.
Radiator cap replaced.
Clutch
Replacement comp.
clutch fitted at engine overhaul.
Removed and checked prior to engine fitting.
Master cylinder seals replaced.
Slave cylinder seals replaced.
Master cylinder filler cap replaced.
Pipe from master cylinder to slave cylinder replaced.
Filled with synthetic fluid.

Spare battery clamp.
Ian has basically stripped the car completely and rebuilt it and replaced all parts as required. I, since February have done the following:
- Installed security system.
- Replaced speedo drive seal and top-up gearbox oil
- Replaced lower arm bushes Infra-red wheel alignment check
And still have to do:
- Replace rubber stops at rear hatch
- Replace fuel clamp ring filler neck « 1 needed for o/s petrol tank so will have a spare
- Replace rear struts
- Replace rubber seal around rear hatch
- Replace electric aerial (could be difficult as part is obsolete)
- Fix the rear heated screen element as itôs detached.
- Fit new rear speakers.
