Why an Esprit:
Because it's British and looks great!

Upgrades: The Lotus had a major going over on it's mechanics including,
new brake disc's, cam belts, uj's, wheel bearings, ignition coil
exhaust manifold, distributor, overhauled calipers, the list is
endless!!

Problems:
No major ones now, but it was good that the belts were changed
right away. The cam tensioner was cracked and about to give way!!
(could have been very costly)

The car has now covered 107,000 miles and the engine / gearbox
are still going strong. The car was owned by Tony Ceasari (another
LEW member) from 1978 - 2002 and was maintained to a very high standard. The service history file is huge. I am the fourth owner and find the Esprit great fun to use. The colour of the car was originally Grey but it has had a full respray in monaco white. It starts first time and handles superbly, a simple pleasure to drive.
