Stoneleigh 2006 Parts Fair

Lotus Esprit World attended the Club Lotus Parts Fair at Stoneleigh for the fourth year running. Unfortunately we didn't make it to the pre-meet at the Porridge Pot as our SE was appearing at the fair, so we went straight there to get cleaned and polished. From the pictures take off the LEF there seemed again to be a good turn out with 50+ Esprits from what we were told with owners coming from around the country again.

Arriving at Stoneleigh for the Parts Fair was again well organised. Paul C had again done a little bit of work behind the scene to sort out parking for the Esprits. Normal problems of everyone arriving together and then being split up when parking and having no meeting point to chat and check out all the Esprits wasn't an issue for the second year running.

   

A great procession of Esprit is testomony to the wonderful community the Esprit as built up over the past few years.

  

As last year, undercover parking was provided for Esprit owners. Giving a great place for owners to meet up and chat and obviously view all the Esprits.

 

Inside the Parts Fair

   

Our Esprit was on the SWLC stand this year. To show off our engine build, done by SWLC and the new Suspension and Polybushes, which can be order through SWLC with a discount for ClubLEW Members. More on the engine rebuild soon and a review of the suspension will also be appearing on the site shortly. You can see the suspension above! As did visitors to the show.

   

We didn't get too much of chance to wonder round this year, as we were looking after our Esprit and telling everyone about the suspension. Most of the show was a normal, so you can check out the previous years. But one thing different this year was an appearance by Lotus Cars Ltd, selling lots of original parts at sale prices. They were also giving away posters, pads and leaflets to go along with the F1 car and new Europa on display.

  

It was great seeing Lotus there and hearing about their Parts Sales coming up in January (see news page). All the other usual suspects were there, including PNM, Paul Matty, Christopher Neil, Lotusbits and the new Espritism. If you didn't go this year, come next year and meet up with all the other Esprit owners.
